Well, I don't know about you guys, but I am extremely excited for the Oscars this weekend. While my ultimate dream would be to attend the Academy Awards one day (at least the red carpet bit because I have no idea how I would get an invite to the awards show unless I knew someone), right now I'm content just watching the show every year at home. Film award shows always exude such glamour and prestige even if they are consistently flawed and biased, but ultimately as fans, we just want to see all our favorite celebrities gathered in one place. What they wore, who they went with, who won which award, etc. It could be just as well I never attend live, because I would not be able to scream at the TV whenever my favorites won or lost; either way, I will probably be screaming/fangirling at the mere sight of my favorite stars. Plus watching the Oscars is almost a day-long process since the red-carpet interviews begin around 3:00 or 4:00, and the actual ceremony isn't until 5:00. So that's almost 5-6 hours of watching the Oscars. Thank goodness award season is only once a year.
